The Runner: Mo Farah

“Look at my success. I didn’t achieve it overnight.”

The first person who inspires me has to be a runner of course, Mo Farah. Mo is a British long-distance runner who inspires me because of his mindset, believe it or not, we have similar mindsets. We both pushed ourselves to the limit and brink of death, although Mo went a little further and ended up an elite athlete. I love his awesome running quote above too, it’s true he didn’t achieve his success overnight, I need to keep reminding myself this. Mo had the expertise to push himself through. Well done Mo if you’re reading this, doubt it though, although it would be amazing if he was.

I know a a lot of runners and want to be runners, will be reading this and agreeing with me, after all this blog did start as a running blog. Hence if you search in Google for best running blogs, this blog may come up. Running is my passion, I’m writing this just before I head off to the gym where I’m going to run on the treadmill and sweat no end, but I’ll enjoy it and it will really not just make my heart pound but pump some motivational endorphins inside me. That’s why Mo Farah is my first inspiration.

Here Comes Spiderman

“It’s Easy To Laugh…”

An inspirational superhero in his own right, Spiderman lives in suburban New York City. He has the power to fly, well swing on sticky spiders webs and helps people on a daily basis from crimes. I like to think of myself as a modern day Spiderman, I’m passionate about helping people with their mental health and motivating them to use their disability to their advantage.

I believe disabilities like Aspergers is a gift. Believe it or not, I used to be the quiet one in the classroom, the person who would not say a word. 15 years later, when I go to my Peer Support with Mind, I’m the chattiest in the room. I thoroughly believe you can change your confidence levels with a bit of practice, I of course can’t change anyone but myself.

Love You Mum

“Look at both of us, we’ve been through tough times but we’ve come through.”

Lastly, my Mum is a true inspiration to me, my Mum was paralysed in 2017 and she couldn’t walk. She had to completely learn to walk again which took a lot of motivation and self-belief. We always joke together that she has every condition in the alphabet and it’s true. She was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis, then BPD, FND and now she’s probably going to find out she’s got ADHD. She’s a true inspiration to me as she’s come through a lot and has that fighting mentality. This is quite fitting actually as Mothers Day approaches on Sunday. In case you’ve forgotten, I recommend a handy gift on my Linktree.
