About Dan

Hi, I’m Dan, welcome to Living With Dan, I was born in the UK, I’m one of five extraordinary siblings, yes I have a very, very large family. I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at 18 which I like to see in a positive light, my aspie symptoms give me a great ability to get in with a task and complete it, whilst I have a tremendous ability to learn new things. I often struggle in social situations which is a typical sign of Aspergers and don’t have many friends, so I’d love to make my readers part of my online community. I love building Lego, playing video games, doing diamond art and of course blogging and social media.

Years ago, we’re talking in 2019, I set up this blog as a running blog, I wanted to create a kind of beginners guide to running whilst gather all sorts of running fanatics in one place. I ran the London Marathon is an amazing 3 hours 40 minutes whilst also ran Bournemouth Marathon in the same year, that was again in 2019. Feel free to use my blog if you’re starting out running, there’s all sorts of tips for new runners as well as old!

Nowadays, I’m turning my blog into a resource to help people living with autism spectrum disorder as well as mental health. I struggle everyday to fit in with society but that hasn’t stopped me achieving all sorts of feats such as working in social media marketing, going to London by MYSELF or just simply visiting my local supermarket. Believe it or not, I used to be the quiet boy at the back of the class!

I hope you enjoy getting to know me, I’ve even written a book so you can learn all about my Aspergers and autistic traits alongside my mental health journey. Psst…I’ve got a new book coming out in summer 2024, it’s called “What’s Normality?”, I’ll let you know when you can pre-order my new book.
