Looking for the best gps running watch? You’ve come to the right place, I’m Dan and welcome to my blog. Lucky for you, I’ve been wearing a Garmin Forerunner 945 on my wrist for quite some time now so I know everything about the running watch and that’s what it is, if you’re looking for a beginners sports watch, this isn’t the right blog for you, the forerunner isn’t a jogging watch, it’s a runners watch, it’s a watch you need if you want to track all the stats to do with the sport, in other words, it’s an elite sporting accessory.

You’ve probably guessed already, one thing it does do is tell the time, very accurately too, in fact, you can choose from a selection of watch faces which tell the time to the second and it’s pretty impressive. Apart from telling the time, there are a multitude of sporting activities you can choose from when using the Garmin forerunner watch, there’s everything from running (obviously), walking, cycling, indoor cycling, hiking, skiing, epileptic, the list goes on and on. You can select activity and then most importantly choose what data you’d like to see when working out. Nowadays I like to priories distance so I stick distance on when I go for a run, then I know how far I’ve run, along with the splits.

The battery life of the sports watch is super impressive too, when I wore it during the London marathon, it easily lasted the 3hrs, 44 minutes and had battery to spare. The running accessory is a bit bulky at times but that doesn’t put you off and when exercising you don’t really notice it, plus the traditional buttons on the side make it easy to stop and start. One amazing feature the forerunner comes with is the ability to allow others to track your runs, which means when you’re doing a half marathon. or marathon, you can automatically send a link to family and friends and they can track you!

When it comes to stats, you can also purchase an additional runpod accessory that tracks even more stats, well all the big stuff elites know about, like cadence and vertical olocity, click here to purchase a runpod with Amazon. Finally, as I’ve said above, in terms of GPS, this watch is 10/10. It literally is a sat nav on your wrist, just don’t go running into any bushes whilst you stare down at it. So if you’re a runner, triathlete, cyclist or just the odd walker, I’d point you to this watch. Any questions, tweet me, Facebook me, Instagram me, Tiktok me or YouTube me

“The watch is 10/10, I’d recommend it to lovers of running and those who dream of being an elite.”
